    Welcome to Precision Periodontics!

    Andrew Gibb was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. After completing his dental program at the University of Alberta, Dr. Gibb practiced general dentistry in the Edmonton and surrounding area for 5 years. With a desire to better serve his patients and become his best, Dr. Gibb returned to the U of A to specialize in the field of periodontics.

    As a board certified, licensed periodontist, Dr. Gibb is passionate about everything around the teeth - he specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal (gum) disease, gum grafting, bone grafting, the surgical placement of dental implants, and functional and aesthetic crown lengthening procedures.

    Dr. Gibb serves as a part-time assistant clinical professor at the University of Alberta, and enjoys teaching the undergraduate dental students and the periodontics graduate students.

    Dr. Gibb and his dedicated team look forward to working with you to help you achieve your oral health goals.

    Andrew and his amazing wife, Katie, are the parents of 4 active boys. The family loves to play outside - sunshine, rain or snow. Whether it be riding their bikes around Edmonton, swimming in the summer, or skiing Rabbit Hill in the winter, they love to call Edmonton their home.

  • Periodontist

    Dr. Anum Haider was born in Lahore, Pakistan—a city renowned as the cultural and historical heart of the country. She earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree in Pakistan, followed by a four-year fellowship in Periodontology. In 2017, Dr. Haider moved to Canada with her husband, where she completed her Master of Science in Periodontology at the University of Alberta.

    She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Haider is passionate about teaching and currently serves as the Discipline Lead for the Undergraduate Periodontology Program at the University of Alberta, where she also supervises clinics for both undergraduate and graduate students.

    Outside of her professional life, Dr. Haider cherishes spending time with her family. She enjoys travelling and discovering new places that spark creativity and balance in her busy schedule.

    Christy graduated from the College of New Caledonia Dental Hygiene Program in 2009, and furthered her studies by obtaining her Bachelor of Dental Science in 2013 through UBC. Christy loves her career and strives to provide a thorough, comprehensive care while keeping patients as comfortable as possible. She enjoys working with the most up-to-date technology and treatment methods, including guided biofilm therapy.

  • Hygienist

    Tammy is a highly experienced and compassionate clinician who brings over 14 years of expertise to our periodontal practice. With a strong academic foundation and a deep commitment to patient-centered care, she plays a vital role in supporting our patients’ oral and systemic health.

    She holds both a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene with a Specialization in Periodontology and a Diploma in Dental Hygiene from the University of Alberta. Her diverse professional background includes independent practice, periodontal specialty clinics, and interdisciplinary hospital settings. In addition to her role in private periodontal practice, she also serves as a part-time Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Alberta, mentoring future dental hygienists.

    Her clinical focus includes non-surgical periodontal therapy, disease assessment, implant maintenance, and the administration of local anesthesia, along with the use of adjunctive therapies such as chemotherapeutic agents. She has also completed training in diode laser therapy and is expanding her scope of care through advanced studies in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy.

    With a warm, professional approach and a passion for lifelong learning, she is dedicated to ensuring every patient receives personalized, thorough, and gentle care. Whether managing advanced periodontal disease or providing preventive maintenance, she brings a high level of skill and empathy to every appointment.

  • Hygienist

    With over 25 years of experience as a registered dental hygienist,I’m committed to providing personalized care that supports both oral and overall health. Since 1997, I’ve worked in general and periodontal practices, and have supported dental assistant students in a seasonal role at NAIT.

    I’ve shared oral health education with daycare groups and Girl Guides and stay active in my community through  volunteer work with my local league.
